Brooke the Monkey

Brooke is such a little Monkey in real life I thought it would be fitting to have her be one for Halloween. Little did I know how well she would pull off the look :) Love this little girl!

Back in September.....

....yep still catching you up on September. Like I said, it was a very busy month! I can't believe I let myself get THIS behind but these posts are worth blogging even if they ARE a month late :)
Soon to come my Birthday Party :)
But for now we have Brooke FINALLY LOVING the Beach!!!! We have only been to the beach a few times since she has been born but each time she did not even want her little feet to touch the sand. She HATED it and just wanted me to hold her. Well NOT this time! She was a HUGE beach fan! She chased birds FOREVER and covered quite some distance, ate sand, dug in sand, splashed in the waves, and pretty much NEVER stopped moving. It was a blast to watch her soak up the beach and be our little So Cal baby girl that she is! I am so glad that Shannon and I went down to meet Diana and her little family down in Carlsbad at their campsite. On top of the super fun day at the beach we got to eat some super yummy foil dinners made by Diana and some AMAZING dutch oven peach cobbler! MMmmmm.....! Enjoy the photos!

Sidewalk Chalk

I was recently inspired to try sidewalk chalk with Brooke after viewing a friend of mine's blog. Her little son looked like he had a TOTAL BLAST playing with the chalk and ended up drawing all over himself. I thought this sounded fun and decided to set aside my anal side and just let Brooke get messy and have a blast. I was not quite sure if she would get it or not being only almost 15 months but boy was I wrong! She colored, she did a ton of KISSING the Kitty Cat, trying to eat the chalk, and just having fun outside in the fresh air! I had a blast just watching her soak it all up! She is seeming SO BIG these days, it is breaking my heart and getting me excited all at the same time :) Enjoy her art and her sweet dirty face! Thanks Brindi and Aiden for the fun idea!

$9.00 Pool = $1,000,000.00 Memories

Tonight Kip and Brooke had a BLAST in our little $9.00 pool that we brought inside to deflate. It was amazing to see how many different ways the 2 of them found to play with this little pool! I was cracking up just watching them and snapping away with my little camera. Enjoy!

Brothers In Law

So BACK IN SEPTEMBER because remember how I am catching you up on September??? Well we had quite a few visitors..... one of them being my little brother David. He came up to visit us for the weekend to get away from the crazy parents, JUST KIDDING, he came up just because we are SO COOL and who in the world would not want to hang out with us RIGHT???
SO I had something going on on Saturday and could not join in on the fun BUT Kip decided to take David on The Bridge To Nowhere hike and they had a blast! Being boys together they did not take a ton of photo's but they said it was a good time. I'm glad David got to bond with his SUPER COOL brother in law!

Back in September......

On September 2, Kip and I celebrated our 4 year Wedding Anniversary!

I am so very grateful to be married to my very best friend in the entire world, to a man that knows me better than I know myself, to a man that is my better half, and the half that makes me whole, to a man that I know loves me and never doubt his loyalty to me, to an amazing father, to the most amazing man in the world!!!

What have we done with ourselves in these past 4 years of married life you ask? Well....

We Are Still Working Together As A Team On Hurdling The Many Obstacles We Face Daily!




Of course we have done A TON more than that, but those I would say are the BIG things.
It's not a perfect life, but it's OUR LIFE and we LOVE IT!!!!!

Chitter Chatter!

Our little Brooke has been doing quite a bit of talking these days! I feel like every single day she is saying something new it is CRAZY! I am going to try and remember the words she is now saying for my record. I wish I could record every single word she says because I never ever want to forget how it sounds from coming from her little baby voice. It is the SWEETEST THING!!! I have already heard her words changing and becoming more mature. It is so crazy to see her growing SO MUCH! Brooke has also started trying to sing, I noticed it today while we were driving. I sing to her each night and in the car and I guess she is a fan because she is now quite the singer. She has been singing all day long today! Ok here goes the list of her words that I can remember :)

OCTOBER!!!!!!

Happy October!!! Let's welcome the month with some BLOOD!!!!!! Brooke just decided to get her first BLOOD owwie! I am actually really impressed that she made it to 14 months old before she got her first bloody owwie, being Kip and I's kid and all!
So here is our little VAMPIRE!!!!

So how did this happen you ask?? Well I did not see it but Kip did, she was on her knee's in the kitchen and I suppose she just slammed her face into the ground?? WHY IN THE WORLD??? Hopefully she learned her lesson! She sliced open her bottom and top lip with her tooth. I had her in the bathtub for a half an hour to get the blood to stop. Silly kid! She cried for a second and then just wanted to play with the blood. CRAZY!!!

Can you guess what Brooke is going to be for Halloween??? It is one of her nicknames!

I know it is not the girliest costume but I WILL put a cute little bow or flower on her little monkey head to make it girlie! Last year Brooke looked like a Turtle so she was a Turtle and this year she ACTS like a Monkey so she will be a Monkey :) I am SO EXCITED to see her costume that I should be getting in the mail any day now :)
