Eeekkkssss.....30 weeks!!!

Yes, believe it or not I am now 30 weeks pregnant! CRAZY!!! I seriously thought that being pregnant would feel like everything was taking forever, but NOPE!!! Not for me and Kip, both of us feel like this pregnancy is flying by so stinkin fast! I am at the point where I can not really remember what it was like NOT being pregnant but at the same time I feel like it has flown by so fast! I just can't believe I only have 10 weeks left. It almost does not feel like enough time to get all of the MANY things done that we need to before she comes. I think until her room is set up, her cloths washed, everything bought, and in place, our carpets cleaned, our house ready for a baby, her scrapbook started... I am just going to want her to stay in as long as she wants. If I happen to get ALL of that stuff done before her due date than I think I will want to be evicting her, but until then...STAY IN THERE!!!!

So this month has brought about MANY changes in pregnancy and life!! It has been a big month for us, not necessarily great things but things none the less. We shal start with the changes in pregnancy this month since this is really what this post is all about!
I have POPPED OUT!!! My body has really made some serious changes, I am starting to swell in my feet, hands, FACE, and all over. My belly is feeling HUGE but I know it is just going to get bigger... I KNOW!!! I have had to take off all my rings which make me SAD but I would rather do that then get them cut off! I have grown out of many maternity things this month, I can really tell my butt and legs and what nots are getting bigger! Little Brooke has started moving SO, SO, SO, MUCH and I LOVE IT!!! I still love every single little movement I feel and am not being made uncomfortable at all by her movements, JUST EXCITED!! I can see her move outside of me all the time and think it is the coolest thing EVER! I also can tell by feeling her kicks and rolls how much bigger she is getting all the time, its the best! I have had a big increase in Heartburn (NOT FUN), which results in many nights of really bad sleep. I am also peeing so much more, again resulting in non sleep. Also my belly is feeling heavy, resulting in non sleep once again. So yeah, I think I am beginning to prepare for a life of less sleep and waking up LOTS in the middle of the night! In a way I think it is a good thing to prepare for but also SO SAD that you can't just enjoy those last few months of freedom and great sleep! I have also had a cough for about 2 months now which is getting really, really old and I am worrying that my child will have shaken baby syndrom when she comes out from all the coughing. I feel bad every time I cough because I hate doing that to my little girl. But can't control it! I am also super phlem filled which is a joy! NOT!!! So yeah. Those are the changes this month. I still LOVE being pregnant and really think I am going to miss many, many things about it. I am already thinking about which month and time of year we can get pregnant again after her. So yeah, being pregnant to me is definatly not a bad thing.
Here are the belly shots for 7 months:

I know, Im nice, Im letting you see my head again!
I also got to have my very first Baby Shower this past weekend and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! It was cool having it FINALLY be MY TURN to have a baby shower! I know that sounds selfish but I have been wanting this for so long, it is just so cool that it is FINALLY here for us!
My mom and sister threw a shower for me down in San Diego where I grew up. I was worried that there would be nobody that would come since it has been so long since I actually lived there, but I would say there was a pretty good turn out. We had a great time, fun games, YUMMY FOOD, and amazing company! I loved everything I got and am so grateful for everyone being so kind to us! Here are some pics from the shower!
The food table, a baked potato bar, salad, fruit, cake, punch....YUMMY!!!
Me playing the baby food tasting game. NASTY!!!
Presents...
...presents...
....and presents!
I had a fantastic time at the shower and really wish I would have gotten more pictures with the people that were there. My old church leaders, my old basketball team buddies, my best friend from forever ago, everyone!!! OOOOoooopppppsssss..... Im really sad I did not get those shots. What can you do?
I also changed the bedding I wanted and found this stuff on e-bay for SUPER CHEAP and I LOVE IT!! So this is what I won on e-bay, I can't wait to get it in the mail!

I got a 9 piece set, so I get all of the bedding stuff you see, I get the heart shaped pillow, 2 of the window coverings, and the thing hanging on the wall with the pockets in it all for $77-!!!! A steal of a deal! We have also decided that for right now we are only going to do a white chair rail and we are going to hold off on the wood panneling on the walls till we have more $$$ to spend. So her walls are going to be all pink with a white chair rail. Im totally stoked because we are going to start painting this week and on Sat my parents are going to come up here to hang with us and help with the chair rail. So by this weekend her walls will be DONE!! YEAH!!! Well without all the fun little decorations on it!
So that is most of the pregnancy stuff that has happened this month that I can think of!
As for life, without much detail because that is just boaring and stuff, I obviously hurt my knee the beginning of the month which is not very fun at all. We are really having the attitude that everything happens for a reason and are assuming that hurting my knee was preventing me from doing something worse or something??? So I have been on crutches part of this month. I am now hobbling without any crutches but still not walking normal. We will not know exactly what I did till after Brooke is born since we can't get an MRI till she is outta here! I am just starting to do bookkeeping again 3-4 days a week only about 2 hours a day and NO SERVING! The cut I am getting from workers comp in not by any means wonderful so our finances have been hurt by that but what can you do?? At least they are paying for all my treatment!
Also we have been waiting on hearing back from LA City Fire Department for Kip's potential job with them. He is DONE with the entire hireing process and we have been just waiting to hear if he got the job or not........ well we found out this month that LA has gone on a hireing freeze for the rest of the fiscal year which ends on June 30th, at that point they are going to re evaluate their budget and see if they can hire anybody, but they are planning on not hireing again till 2010. So that was pretty sad to us, we were really counting on that! We do have a great back up plan that seems to be going well. Kip did a ride along a while ago with San Pascual Indian Reservation and really had a great time there. They are getting a new engine in July and are planning on staffing it with full time employees around then. They actually get the engine on July 13th (my due date) so we are really hoping that Kip can get on with them. They seem to really like him and he really likes it there so we are really keeping our fingers crossed for that to work out. It would be a great drive for him, a cool place to work, and a wonderful schedule, and he would be making almost the same as working with LA City. So to me this sounds fantastic!
SO those are the events of our month. Sorry for the novel but I really like to do this for journal keeping as well as keeping you all updated on our lives!

Love it! You are so cute Sarah! Your tummy is so tiny in comparison to what mmine was at that point!! Hopefully that means she will weigh less and that is great news for your hoo ha! :) Love the new bedding choice and YAY for getting the room painted! I totally understand how you feel about getting it all done before she gets here, you will be super glad you did! :) Sorry to hear about LA, but excited to hear about San Pasqual! They would be lucky to have him and we hope it works out! That schedule would also be so much better for you and new baby Brooke! Keep us updated!

Sounds like you had a wonderful baby shower. Wished I could have been there. I like the bedding...just love pink and brown. So no complaints there. Sounds like a lot going on and that things will all work out. It always does. Just keep your head up and hang in there.

lookin' good little momma! I havent been able to wear my rings for about 3 weeks either. Its sad, but better than having them cut off. and I am loving her bedding! Its so hard to pass up good deals. I havent been able to find anything that I love so my mom is making her bedding. I still havent painted either. I am 35.5 weeks, and we have yet to touch her room.
I hope things work out with work. we have been feeling the effects of the economy as well!

Yay 30 weeks! It is incredible how quickly that due date comes...kind of scary too?...but it'll be so fun for you guys to have your sweet little girl. So excited about Kip's possible job opportunity, we'll keep you guys in our prayers. Glad you're feeling good-other than hobbling around. You look GREAT!

I remember hitting 30 weeks with my first. It feels like you're really in the home stretch. You look GREAT!. It is crazy to think about how big your belly is and you think your skin can't possibly stretch any farther...and then it does. I think you're the first pregnant woman I've known to already be excited about your next pregnancy before you're even finished with the first.

Good luck with all the job stuff. Being a grown up it too hard sometimes.
