Get er' done!!!!

Well I would have to say we had quite the productive, project finishing weekend and boy does it feel SO GOOD to not have to worry about those few projects anymore (now onto other ones :) )! Here is what we together (Kip more than I) accomplished!
First off Kip finished the chair rail in Brooke's room. He had to still fill in the nail holes with putty, caulk the edges and corners, then one last coat of paint. Now ALL DONE!!! I love how it turned out!!! Now can't wait for the crib, changing table, and decorations to be up....will be soon!

Next, I finished my little blanket that I made for Brooke. I was so excited to make this blanket for her once I saw my friends blanket she made for her little girl. I am happy with how it turned out. I still need to wash it a few more times to have it Frey the way I want it to but yeah for me!!!! I re-learned how to sew about 2 weeks ago so I am proud of me for my 2 little projects!!! Now I am addicted to this sewing thing, I think I am going to set up a craft table in our guest bedroom so I can work on stuff whenever I want :)

And lastly my FAVORITE project that Kip did all by himself is our downstairs closet! I am so glad he decided to extend this because it gives us another 5.5 feet of storage space downstairs! We have big plans for this closet! Space for food storage, cleaning supplies, toys, books, shoes, and possibly the perfect time out place. "1-2-3, OK you are on time out, go in the closet and if you start to cry than shut the door" JUST KIDDING but we like to joke about it!!! Our very own little Harry Potter closet under the stairs! Can you tell we are excited about it? Once I get all my organizational supplies in there, I will take another picture! Here is the finished product!

All in a weekend! Like I said Kip did much more than I, but I did a good job at rooting him on as I was playing with my sewing machine! I love finishing projects and feeling that sense of accomplishment!

I was gonna say...turn it into your nursery. I actually had a friend turn the under the stair place into a playhouse type thing. They kept a little kitchen set and table and chairs in there. And other various toys. It was nice not to have that sitting out in the middle of their family room, but the kids were still nearby. My kids loved going over to play house. IT was AWESOME! They cut a window through the side so the kids could still be seen and heard.

Your quilt looks fantastic. I get addicted to sewing, too.
