11 months (almost there)

Photobucket

Can you believe it??? It is JULY!!!! The month my little girl was born last year, this is CRAZY! I can not believe that our baby girl is 11 months old! Are you kidding me???? Ok really as you can tell I am still in shock by how fast time flies when you become a parent. That is seriously one of the things people are totally not kidding about when they say "O' wait time speeds up when you have kids" YEP IT DOES!!! I don't like it one bit. Like why in the world couldn't those horrible years of dating and getting your heart broken and all of that stuff have gone by fast and now that life is AMAZING it should slow down so we can get ever bit of joy out of every day before it is over. That is what I think!
Ok so Brooke is 11 months old, let's get back to that, and yes I am also getting back to blogging! I promise! I have SO MUCH to catch you up on but it will come in time, I promise. Maybe not super fast because I am planning a 1 year old Birthday party and if you know me you know I am obsessing about it much because that is just me....
Ok moving on to Brooke being 11 months old! YIKES did I say that already?
So on Brooke's 11 month birthday we had a very interesting day. We started the day at 12:59am driving around in the car because I could not get Brooke to calm down and stop crying in the middle of the night when I was at my parents house which was full in every single room with guests. So we were up all night long, in the morning we had my wonderful Grandma Carlson's funeral service. When we got home we took Brookes temperature and she was at 103 degrees. NOT GOOD! Kip and I were stressing and poor Brooke was not looking great at all. So straight to the Urgent Care we went as a little family. There they weighed Brooke and at 11 months on the dot she was 18 lbs 1 oz. YEP SHE IS ITTY BITTY!!! I am stressing about her 12 month appointment! Are they going to think I am starving my child? BECAUSE I AM NOT!!! Anyway, it was actually a very fast very pleasant Urgent Care experience where we learned Brooke had her very first ear infection :( Here is a picture of her when we got home right before we got her her meds! Kip was POOPED, Brooke felt like crap!

Seeing her this way broke my heart! I am so weak when she needs her mommy, she has me and her daddy wrapped! Thank goodness the meds kicked in quick and we had our baby back to normal in about a day and a half!

Stuff about Brooke at 11 months old that I want to remember:
~ Brooke is loving to stand, walk along things, use her walker inside of it and pushing it on the outside of it.
~ Can stand on her own but does not yet trust herself to do it, when she catches herself doing it she drops to her bum.
~ LOVES to read and loves turning the pages of books! A big book fan!
~ Can say Baba (baby), Ball, Uh uh (when she drops something), Dada, she is trying to say Doggy, Numa num (eating food), bye bye (with a wave), hi (with a wave), still not mama :( But I do know she loves me!
~ Is starting to cling to us when we hold her, it is cute more than annoying to me!
~ Crawls FAST!
~ Has cut her top 2 teeth so now she has 4 teeth in total.
~ Loves doggies!
~ Dances to a beat!
~ Has become more attached to her binkey which is sad because it will be leaving her life soon.
~ Loves to wave!
~ Loves to turn on and off lights whenever we are holding her. Tries to say "push" when she is switching off lights.
~ Loves to touch plants when we are outside.
~ Has learned how to drink out of a straw.
~ LOVES BALLS!!!! She has such a good arm on her, that girl can CHUCK a ball across the room easily!
~ Is learning the meaning of "no"
~ Has learned how to get into the cabinets and LOVES to pull stuff off the pantry shelf.
~ LOVES to go bye bye places and loves to ride in the car most of the time!
~ Is obsessed with opening and shutting doors! Obsessed!
~ Picky Eater!
~ Talks, and talks, and talks, she has interesting accents too, it is so funny!
~ Brooke can not sit in any type of chair properly, she always has her feet up and out of her carseat, high chair, or shopping cart, and stroller. Silly!
~ Brooke LOVES to eat paper or cardboard! Strange child!

Here are some pictures from the month:(WARNING PHOTO OVERLOAD)

We just love every moment we have with this little girl. She is our world, and consumes our happiness! She brings so much joy into our life! Thank You Heavenly Father for giving us this little girl! Thank You SO MUCH!

10 Months Old (SUPER LATE)

Photobucket
Of course it is almost a month late so I don't totally remember the details of month 9-10 vs. 10-11, I will write down what I do remember had changed. Actually month 9 for Brooke was a big one! The week that Brooke turned 9 months she FINALLY started to crawl forward! We were SO EXCITED to see her on the move! Right away Brooke began standing up on things, crawling under things, getting into things, cruising along things, she just became a very busy girl. It seems the week she began to crawl she also found her voice. We are pretty sure her voice became a few octaves higher! She loves to scream and squeal! It is usually a happy scream or squeal but I can also tell when she is getting super tired by a special screech she now does ;) Brookes cute little personality seemed to just bloom at 9 months. She has been a big time chatter, she copy's sounds so well it is impressive. We are pretty sure her first word was Baby (ba ba). She calls her reflection in the mirror ba ba, she also calls babies on tv ba ba. If you ask her to say baby she will "usually" say ba ba. Brooke gained a deep love for doors, opening and shutting them over and over again. O and Brooke freaked me out a little bit as well this month. It was looking like she was trying to give up her first nap right after she started to crawl. I tried a day without it and decided nope she needs 2 naps still. I stuck to making her try to nap twice and am so thankful I did. That phase passed thank goodness! I think that is what I want to remember most about month 9-10 is that she started to crawl, talk, get CRAZY, scream, and just bloom! What a busy and proud month we have had! We love our little BUG!

About a month ago......

We had the cutest little addition to our extended family. Little Jacob Ross Hardy was born on April 23,10 and he is cute as ever! Seeing him so dang itty bitty made Brooke feel like a giant baby. I can't believe she was ever newborn size, it is just crazy to hold a newborn again! We are so excited to be an Auntie and Uncle again! Meet Jacob Ross Hardy:

Uncle and Jacob

Auntie and Jacob

The cute little family of 4!

I got to take a few newborn shots of little Jake, here are a few of my favorites. He is such a cute little guy and his hairline reminds me so much of Brooke. He has his daddy's features but I see lots of Robinson in him!

See I told you he is cute :)

Also about a month ago my sister and I decided to meet in Temecula at this really cool park. It is kinda close to meeting in the middle, I think I get the better end of the deal but not by a ton of time. I was able to pick up my niece Hailee to help Laurie and Gregg out by giving them some special one on one time with little Jacob. It was so fun to have a play date with little Hailee! Brooke, Hailee, and I all meet Amanda and her kids at In n Out and had lunch with a ton of people looking at us like we were crazy :) Then we headed to the park. Makenna and Hailee get along and play so well. We just told them that they are cousins since they practically are and really look quite related. They played well, Brooke had fun (I think?) and little Kellen enjoyed chasing the big girls around. Here are some fun pictures from the day at the park.
It was so fun to have 2 kiddo's in the back of my car. I think Brooke enjoyed the company!

Kenna and Hailee going down the slides together.

So glad they play so well together.

Kenna

Kellen, Me and Brookie. Don't you think Brooke looks like me here?? I DO! :)

Kellen

Hailee and Brooke spent a bunch of time together swinging.

We killed 2 birds with 1 stone since we were short on baby swings and stuck Kellen and Brooke in the same swing. It went well for longer then I expected. Until Brooke got sick of HUGE Kellen and kicked him out :)

Yep, Im a bad mom, my kid is licking the wet rock, that's right.

Hanging out by the wet rocks!

So pretty much about a month ago some fun stuff happened!

I will keep catching you up, soon to come Brookes 10 month post! I know 10 months!!!

BEHIND!!!!

I am SO behind on my blogging!!! Many posts to come very soon!!! Keep an eye out :)

Why???

Why did I not get a picture of me with my little girl on Mothers Day??? I am mad at myself right now :( Would it count if I did it a few days late???

Either way I had a WONDERFUL 1st Mothers Day! My husband is the sweetest man I have ever meet, our baby girl brings nothing but a smile to my face, got to spend some quality time with Kip's (well my family now) family, got to talk to my mommy on the phone, got text messages from great friends, I really felt the love! Thanks to everybody that made my 1st Mothers Day a special one :)

Still wish I got a picture with Brooke and I :(

Our World

AND WE WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING!!!!!
Here are some fun little moments around our home recently with Brooke. She brings so much joy to our home and to our life, I can not imagine one moment without her in it!
Ok I do not know what it is about Brooke and being UNDER things??? Maybe it is genetic since her daddy and mommy love to explore caves and mines UNDER hundreds of feet of earth??? Many times we have found her in places like this...

... and this...

... and this...

... and this...

What a goof ball!!!

Kip is such a wonderful daddy! He spends so much time doing silly little things with Brooke, doing special things that only the two of them do. They have a special little relationship and she smiles SO BIG every single time she see's her daddy or even hears the word daddy. It melts my heart to see and to capture moments like these. I am so grateful to be married to such an amazing man! Brooke is a lucky girl to have such a loving daddy that takes the time to do little things like this. The little moments are the moments that matter!

Today Brooke tasted Katsup for the first time! I would have to say I think she liked it! She got the katsup on her nose and forehead from licking her tray :)

You know we have struggles, we have things we are trying to make better, we have trials, we have weak days, we have moments of little faith, we have lots on our plates that we stress out about every single day, but you know what?

I LOVE MY LIFE!!!! I WOULD NOT CHANGE A THING! LOOK HOW BLESSED I AM! I SEE IT!
