Happy Birthaversary!!!!
Last Thursday, September 2 was a BIG day for Kip and I! It was the day I celebrated my 30th Birthday and ALSO the day Kip and I celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary! So, I have begun to call it my Birthaversary!
I told Kip all I wanted for my birthaversary this year was a special date/adventure, just him and I! Kip and I used to have adventure trips all the time but it seems that since I tore my ACL about 3 years ago our adventure trips have been very few and far between. That has been such a big part of US and our relationship and lately we have really been missing that. SO we finally got our adventure and it was WONDERFUL!!!! The perfect Birthaversary gift, it was everything I wanted and more! Well all but for the part where we lost our way and by the time we realized it our only option was to climb straight up the very steep and slippery mountain to the trail. Did I mention the fact that we were climbing on our hands and knees up a previous rock slide with loose rocks that were so hot they were burning our hands?? O and the fact that I had a break down and cried and told Kip that I did not want to die this way and that I wanted to raise our baby girl! Yep I am drama and a whimp when it comes to heights and a slippery non safe feeling! Overall still a blast! Now that I look back the freaky part just made it more fun, tho I would NOT do that again! We also decided that we are going to do stuff like this hike SO much more often and we are most definitely going to go back to this place again!
Here are some random shots from our hike! Echo was in dog heaven!!! It was a hot day so the water felt AMAZING!!! The water really was not all that bad at all, more refreshing than anything!
Little did we know at this point what was to come, but we had fun jumping off these rocks anyway!
The smaller bigger jump! SO FUN!!!
Daddy's turn on the BIG ONE!!! This was about 10 feet high I am guessing, we could not touch the bottom of the water which was so cool!
Mommy's turn!
Echo's turn!
Taking the leap together!
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Robinson for watching Brooke for us for the whole day so that we could do this, and for throwing me a cute little party complete with a cake and NEW running shoes and socks that were MUCH NEEDED!!! THANKS!!!
P.S. This hike is in Azusa, CA about an hour from here and it is called The Bridge to Nowhere if you want to look it up! SO FUN and not too hard! (as long as you do not get lost :))

Sarah's Trip
Yep, Kip took a trip and then a few days later Brooke and I got to take a trip up to Utah (thanks to Papa Wyrick)!
Brooke was an AMAZING little traveler, I feel so blessed to have such a good little baby. I know we are not going to get this lucky with ALL our kids so we enjoy having an easy baby while we got it :) Papa Wyrick and I decided to do the drive through the night hoping that Brooke would sleep most of the time. We left at Brooke's bed time 8pm and she stayed asleep the entire trip up until about 10 minutes before we got there! LOVE HER!!!!
We started our Utah stay at my friend Janel's house! Janel and I were super close friends back in High School playing on the same basketball team, unfortunately the same position so we had to compete against one another. Thank goodness we stayed friends :) She was FAR from Mormon back then :) BUT is now more Mormon than I am :) I would like to take some of the credit for her being baptized, the great example I was and all :) She also happened to marry into a family I have been close to for years and consider family myself. I got to see lots of the family and had a BLAST sharing story's and fun times, and teaching Janel how to cook :) Pics:
I'm pretty sure Kai and Brooke liked one another, they were so cute together!
Brooke is learning to be a Ninja here!
Look at all the fun toys to play with!!!
This is what happens when you explore new heights, you fall and bruise your pretty little face!
Friday night we moved our bags into Great Grandma and Grandpa Ginos's house! WE LOVE THEM!!!! The coolest thing about Grandma and Grandpa Ginos is that they are Kip's Grandparents BUT they have known me since I was like 2 till about the age of 16. He was even my bishop! Isn't that cool??? I think so!
Brooke was WONDERFUL at her GG's house! She LOVED playing on Grandma's stair chair, watching Elmo on their super big TV, sitting on the GG's lap's, relaxing on the couch, and pushing Grandma's walker all over the kitchen. We were all super impressed that Brooke went down at her bed time every night without a peep.
I enjoyed staying up super late talking with Grandma, hearing her stories was my very favorite part of our entire trip I think! Priceless!!!
Saturday morning Papa Wyrick came and picked Brooke and I up for a morning of nature and fun! We decided to take the Alpine Loop from GG's house to Provo since that was where we were headed. I am so glad we took the pretty route! We decided to stop about half way to change a stinky diaper, let mommy relieve her waters, and snap some shots! Here are some of my favorites!
Next, off to lunch at the Macaroni Grill (Brooke was crazy here but we managed :)) Then back up the canyon to Bridal Veil Falls!
Back up the canyon even further to Vivian Park to let Brooke RUN around, MUCH NEEDED running around!!! This park was where I had my farewell bonfire when I was headed down to Cali to date Kipper :) It was fun to be back with our baby girl!
Next a trip to the mall for a cute outfit for Brooke from Papa! Thanks Papa for the fun day!
He then dropped us off at my good friend Marie's house! Marie and I meet while working at Red Robin up in Provo, we became roommates and even better friends! I adopted myself into her family and spent a good amount of time with her at her parents house who I came to LOVE!!!! It was SO much fun to visit with them all especially since we figured out it had been 8 years since I last saw them all! I wish I would have gotten a picture of us with everybody. Thanks Mama Berry for taking a picture of Marie and I!!! Marie is pregnant with her second son who she will be having the end of September. It was so fun to see her pregnant!
Sunday we went to church with Great Grandma and Grandpa, visited with a good friend named Jarod (who I forgot to get a picture with) who also happened to know Grandma and Grandpa from San Diego. Such a small world! Then my friend Shannon came and picked us up and we headed over to another friends house. Becky and I also meet at Red Robin back in the day. Becky is one of the sweetest, kind hearted, and wonderful people I have ever meet. I also have come to love her beautiful little family, including her AMAZING Mom. I can see why she is who she is after meeting her mom! Becky has my dream home with my dream backyard! It was my first time that I just let Brooke go outside and play all by herself without keeping a constant eye on her. SHE HAD A BLAST and felt SO BIG!!! She loved the in ground trampoline, the HUGE grass area, the little car to ride in, the swing set, and the cute kids to play with! Becky your family and your house ROCK!!!!
O my gosh, I have to put this picture in here! Can you believe that I walked around for I have no idea how long with this size rip in my shorts??? My friend noticed and told me as I got out of the car right after a walmart trip. Yes this really DID happen!!!! Poor me! Hope my undies were not stained :)
The next morning we were back off to home. Papa picked us up and took us to breakfast and then off to the airport. Brooke again was a wonderful little travel baby girl! THANK YOU BROOKE!!! It could not have gone any smoother! And right into Daddy's arms where we plan to stay for a while. So much time away from daddy with our trip and his, we are ready to all be together as a family again!!!
