Starting to think...

About Little Brooke's Nursery!!!
I can not tell you how often I think about all the different things I want to do to her room. I truly feel like I am OBSESSED with thinking about this little girl, I can't get her off my mind... and I LOVE IT!!!
So this is what I have come up with so far for the nursery.... because I know you care right???
I want to go with kinda a shabby country theme. I have model horses that I collected as a child that I want to incorporate into the room somehow. I want the colors to be White, Baby Pink, and Chocolate Brown! I know, everyone is doing the brown and pink thing but I LOVE IT!!! So I want to do Wayne's Coating on the lower half of the walls that is painted white, then a light pink on the upper walls, dark brown crib and changing table, and then her bedding pinks and browns and whites. I was tossing around adding a little green as an accent to the room but donno??? I think I might just stick with what I got?
So this is the crib and changing table that I think we are going to get?? It is the least expensive one that I still really like and Kip likes it as well. I think it would work well with a girl and a boy which is good because this furniture has got to last through all of the 4 kids we plan on having. The only thing I do not like about it is that it seems you can not see the bedding very well, is that lame??? Probably not THAT important right? What do you think about it?? It is on sale right now so I gotta decide soon before the sale ends?

This is the fabric that would be my main fabric I use for the window coverings, and bed skirt, and then of course the bumper and blanket. With the bumper and blanket I want to do kind of a patchwork type of thing with different fabric's that I really like in the brown, pink, and white colors.

Here is a picture of the blanket I got made for my niece Hailee for Christmas, I want to use the same pattern and colors but with just different fabric's. Isn't this SO CUTE???

So that is what I have got so far! I am SO SO SO STOKED to start this room!!! I wish I had endless amounts of money so I could make it exactly the way I have it in my head but I know with some creativity we can make it pretty close to what this brain has thought up.
Sorry if you really do not care about reading about how I want to do this nursery, I am just so excited about it that I had to do something that made me feel like it was moving forward a little, so for now a post will do!
Any advice or cute idea's that would go with my little theme I have going, I would be happy to hear, thanks!

I LOVE IT! It's soo cute! I absolutely LOVE the colors! I did light pink, hot pink and tan...it turned out so cute. My advice - if you choose pink paint for the walls, choose the color then go about 3 or 4 shades LIGHTER! I wanted a barely there pink and when we put it on the walls, it looked like pepto bismol! I was mortified and the baby was due ANY DAY! I repainted it the tan about a year after Gracie came - and love it now. Can't wait to see the finished product! YAY FOR GIRLS!

I don't know if you had a chance to look at www.babiesrus.com but they have some really good ideas on there. If you go to the collections tab and select collections by color. Select Pink and it will show you all different styles. The ones that are closest to brown & pink combinations would be "Pink Mad About Plaid", "Coco", "Just Buggy", "Scribbles Pink", "Raspberry Truffle, "Metro Pink", "Maya", "Carter's Love Bug", "Pop Daisy", and "Sugar Plum", Some combinations with a little bit of green added to it are "Taffy", "Circle Time Pink", and "A La Mode".

The other thing you will notice is that you'll have no problems noticing the bedding. Like in "Raspberry Truffle" you'll still notice the bedding.

This is also a good site to see the way they put the colors all together. There are some really good ideas for the paint color of walls, accessories to put on the walls or bedding.

Those are just some of my thoughts. What ever you decide to do I know it will be tons of fun putting it together.

That sounds adorable! I love decorating and its music to my ears. My home teachers came over last night and one asked if I was an interior decorater, that made my day!

I LOVE IT!! It totally reminds me of Kami's room - except I did white/black/pink, and I love it! Love the furniture - if it's a good deal I say GO FOR IT! It's so fun to decorate your first baby's room - so enjoy it! Poor Tanner is getting a makeshift boy's room - oh well - boys don't care, right? BTW your sewing skills impress me... I LOVE the quilt! Is the middle just fuzzy fabric or did you do something technical to make it so soft?

Isn't this fun?!!! Is it sad that I'm totally jealous and want to go back to the brain storming stage now that I'm all done? I think I have a problem... ;) This part is just so fun!!! I love your ideas and I think go for the crib and changing table, they are really nice looking and I love that they match! And I think the bedding will show nicely with the colors your picking! I love the adding in your horse collection idea, I would recommend looking out for cute shelfs for those! I wish I had thought more about shelving cause I have so much cute stuff to display and not much room for it!

I think its cute. Rylee's crib and dresser are cherry wood, and I love it. Its cool that you are making the bedding, because I spent a lot of money on mine, and now her comforter sits up in the closet:( I use really comfy blankets in her bed. Next time I'll just go with cute sheets and bedskirt, and not spend so much money. I love your theme, it is way cute. Brooke is a lucky girl, to have such a wonderful mom, and dad. You guys are great, and will be wonderful parents!

So I got the Crib and Changing table, YEAH!!!
I think I might go with a bedding set at Babies R Us online that I found that is just like what I wanted to do anyway but I am really excited about it all. I still think I am going to make her that blanket tho!
Thanks for all your advice and kind words!
