Goodness Snakes!!!

So the other day Echo and I were coming home from a nice long walk and right in front of my house in the middle of the road there was a long red snake. I was curious so Echo and I tippy toed over to check it out, hoping it was not mean or poisonous. As we got closer the snake became aware of us and stuck it's head up in the air kinda like a cobra would do, I was freaked out! Once it made itself clear that it was not planning on messing around with us it jetted into the bushes on the side of my house. That did not comfort me one bit, a snake in my yard, not fun! While observing the snake now in my yard, Echo wandered aimlessly into the bushes and the snake aggressively lunged out at Echo and struck him, it was so sad but the strike did not even brake the skin!
Soon after Kip came home while we were outside. Kip informed me that it was not a poisonous snake (thank goodness) and that it is called a Red Racer. Of course Kip was curious and wanted to catch it as well as the neighbors that soon got involved. Kip and Clint were having a total blast tricking the snake and tag teaming it until Clint finally captured him. Once it realized that we were not going to hurt it it calmed down and kindly let Clint show him off. Here are a few photo's of our neighborhood event!

Scary! I don't know what I would do if my husband ever found one in our yard. Although I was seen doing just that when I was littler. I guess I grew into a girly girl!

Sounds just like Kip. We had a snake in our yard the other morning. I was still in bed and I hear Rich come in the house saying "William hurry! Come here there's a SNAKE!" Then the two of them go to check it out. BOYS.

I don't like "Spiders or Snakes" I almost got bit by a 6 foot rattlesnake when I was about 3.5 years old. You are braver than me!
