Day 8.....

OVER DUE!
Eviction Date set for Saturday Aug 6, 2011 at 7:30pm (unless they are packed, then I get to wait longer)
I just went in today to be checked because I was having stabbing pains in my lower right side of my stomach. He is a healthy little boy, moving around still like crazy, his heartbeat was great, fluids were great, everything checked out great! I am also STILL dilated to a 1, he is apparently STILL high, and I am only 60% effaced. I'm grateful for such a healthy baby and for a body that for sure has no troubles getting and STAYING pregnant! I, every single day wake up and think about my blessings. I am over due yes, I am uncomfortable yes, I am so tired that I have a hard time keeping up with my little busy 2 year old yes, I have no lap left for her to sit in yes..... BUT I AM PREGNANT! I know how lucky and blessed I am to be pregnant, to have easy pregnancies, to have my baby still be so healthy! I look forward to the moment that I get to meet him in person and hold him tightly in my arms, to count his fingers and his toes, to look into his little eyes..... but that moment is not far from now! Thank goodness for modern technology and for them no longer letting people go beyond 42 weeks pregnant. I get to see him Sunday is my guess??? I can't wait till Sunday but until then I will soak up the very last moments that Brooke and I have together just her and I!

Update

So I am back! I hope!
I am going to do a QUICK UPDATE, I will expand further later on, for all of you out there in Blogger land that do not have a facebook account to keep up on our lives.
After this update I am going to do my very best to do a bunch of catch up blog posts. That way no exciting moments are lost! I do plan on turning these years of blogging into books so I want to keep everything captured in these blog pages if not for you, for us!
We have had a very busy few months since I last posted!
On May 28th Kip celebrated his 30th Birthday!
Kip's friends (with a little help from me) planned a total GUY day for his actual Birthday. The evening before Clint, Kip, and Ryan went camping out behind our houses up in the hills. They just took the quads out and found a place. The following morning, Kip's actual Birthday, Rob meet up with them and they all went on a shooting frenzy! They had a TON of ammo, cut out animal targets, and fresh fruit to blow up! Sounds like they had a very testosterone building experience!
The evening of Kip's Birthday it was just Kip and I, we sent Brooke to Grammy and Pa's for the weekend, and we went out to dinner and had a relaxing evening at home.
The following day Kip's family came over to our house for dinner and celebrating!
On July 18th our little Brooke turned 2 years old!!!! We had 2 parties for her special day! We had 1 on July 9th here in Elsinore with family and close friends, a Rubber Ducky theme that is SO little Brooke, and lots of pool fun! What a perfect day it was!
Then on July 17th we had a combined party for Brooke and Conner who are exactly 1 year apart! Conner was born July 17th and Brooke the 18th a year apart! We had a ton of fun with the family that came down to San Diego for the day!
Papa Wyrick was able to come out for a week and we got to spend some special time with him. Brooke adores her Papa!
I just think this is cute so I have to throw this in here. Brooke has become obsessed with wearing Makeup! I only really let her wear lip gloss regularly but she sure loves it!
With Brooke's constant interest being shown we decided to finally just go for the Potty Training! We did not want the interest phase to pass and then never come back. We were not planning on potty training her before the baby came she had different plans. Boy did it go well! She really only had a few accidents. Day #1 was rough but it was my fault in my tactic I was using. From day #2 on she really has not had many accidents. She picked it up quick and we are SO proud of her! SO NICE to not be changing her nasty diapers! Also what a relief to not have to be buying 2 sets of diapers once the baby comes! She IS still in Pull Up's at night which is fine with me for a little while. I will tackle night time at a different time in life, I'm hoping that she will just phase out of night time accidents?
My Mom and I after MANY, MANY hours of hard work finished Baby Kipper and Brooke's shared room bedding! I am very happy with how it turned out! I don't have a photo of his bumper and crib skirt set up in a crib yet because that will not happen till we move. When it does happen I will of course post pictures of their room set up and all done!
Just recently we took down the crib and moved Brooke into her Big Girl Bed! I was really worried about how this transition would go but it really has not been as bad as I was expecting. Every once in a while she wakes up a few times in the middle of the night but all we do is put her back in bed, tuck her in, and she is out again! She is seriously such a good girl!
I got some really cute pictures of her helping Daddy build her bed. This is my favorite one. The girl just KNEW how tools were supposed to be used without showing her. We were both super impressed. I need to get a picture of her IN her bed! I'm always too afraid of taking pictures of her sleeping because I am too afraid to wake her up.
The FOR SALE sign went up on our house and the house has began emptying out with the furniture we have been selling. It's crazy! Brooke gets sad every time she notices a piece of furniture gone, it makes me sad!
Brooke seems to be ready for her little brother to come out! Every day she asks me if Baby Kipper will "Come out soon?" I feel like she really is grasping the concept that he is a real baby that she is going to hold and kiss and help me change his diaper? I DO think there will be a transition, I am already seeing signs of it. But I also think she is going to love her little brother and be a big helper with him. I am ready to have a lap back for her to sit in and energy back to play with her with!
Last but not least, we got all our baby stuff we needed, THANKS TO KIP'S HARD WORK! My favorite new items are my new glider that I got to hand pick out the fabric and colors, and my new double jogger that my wonderful In Law's got for us!
Baby Kipper's "Room" is set up! As much of a "room" as he is going to have till we move. He's right next to his Mommy and Daddy!
I guess you could say we have ALL OUR DUCKS IN A ROW!!!
Now it's just stinking time to have this little boy! I'm now 4 days over my Due Date! When he is going to come I have no idea? I'm guessing maybe his Pepaw Robinson's Birthday August 1st since he is the "original" Kip that this little guy is going to be named after? HOPEFULLY SOON is all I can ask for! I pray for a healthy little boy and a safe delivery! Can't wait to update you with pictures of our little son! Until then here I am on my due date!

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

One Saturday that Kip was gone working at the fire station I got a wild hair up my bum to call up my Mom and Sister and see if they would be spontaneous and meet up with me and Brooke at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Normally the 2 of them are not as spontaneous as I am, they say it's because they have more important lives (whatever), but THIS Saturday they were both up for the spontaneous fun! I was STOKED that they both said yes on meeting Brooke and I there. Good thing because my Mom was our free ticket in with the kind of Zoo pass she has! Hooray for a free family day of fun!
We ended up having a very, very fun time at the park! The first thing we did was the Butterfly Exhibit which just happened to be the very last day of it. Good timing!
They had a little dress up stop that Brooke and Kenna decided to take advantage of! These little girls are so dang cute together, it kills us!
I have a picture of Brooke in this same Butterfly about a year ago, maybe even longer. So cute! Butterflies will always remind me of little Brooke for some reason?
Sisters!
Next we went to feed the birds! That was an experience! It did not freak out Brooke the way I thought it would. She actually wanted so badly to just grab the birds and hold them as they landed. I was worried she was going to get bit. I think my Mom or Sis have pictures of us on their camera's and if so I will update this with a few photo's once I get them. It was really cool!
We watched the Monkeys climb all over everything while we waited to go on the Safari Park tour! I think the kids had a great time seeing all the animals in their elements! I thing for the girls the Giraffes were the favorites and for Kellen it whas the Rhino's.
Posed on the Rhino as a group!
Brooke was not really having it! Love this shot!
And just acted like the other word for Donkeys!
It was a SUPER fun day! I was so glad that my Mom and Sister's lives were not so important that day that it would have kept them from the day of spontaneous fun that we had! So grateful for fantastic memories!

Catching Up!

I have about a month of catching up to do, it is so dang easy to get behind on the things in life! Too much to do an too little time and these days energy to do it all! I'm still waiting for this whole "nesting" phase to kick into high gear. It is actually something  have been looking forward to this entire pregnancy! I'M READY TO NEST!!!! Until then I will drag my tired little bum through the things I need to do. Keeping my blog up to date is one of these things, it's suddenly a very important thing for me. This is going to be my only way of keeping a family journal and a journal for each of my children so I really need to keep up on the photos and the stories! Books WILL be made from this blog and I can't wait to see them in print!
You superhero mothers who do it all, HOW do you do it? Seriously I would LOVE to know these things?
So this post is going to be a mix of random photo's from May that make me smile!
This was a sweet little milestone to me! It was the first time Brooke went and played dress up with the big kids! It just made me feel like she was such a big girl when she came downstairs with the big kids in a matching leotard and then headed out to the trampoline for a dance party! So sweet! I love the Bruer girls!
This picture just melts my heart! Let me tell you something, Brooke has NEVER just layed down with me in the middle of the day and fell asleep but she does it with her daddy often! How in the world does he do it? I came out into the living room to check on them and this is what I found. My 2 loves sleeping together on the couch in pretty much the exact same position. Isn't this just the sweetest thing?
Another cute one! My sis and her crazy kiddo's came up one day for a day of fun in Lake Elsinore with us! I of course didn't get many photo's of the day of fun but this was too cute to not stop and take a picture of it. Amanda's kid's like to build little pillow forts while they are watching their toons and Brooke wanted to join in on the fun. They all sat there like this for a little while watching their toons in their little pillow made forts! Silly kids!
One of Brooke's very favorite things to do is draw! She draws or colors a few times a day. We LOVE sidewalk chalk! I think she is going to always have a love for art! I also think she is going to be quite good at it. We shall see if Mommy is right or not down the road?
Yes he is in control, No the quad did not end up rolling! Moments like this my husband is just more and more attractive to me for some reason! I sure love him!
One Saturday Brooke and I hit up a free little fair down in Corona. It was a nice day outside and we ran into quite a few friends of ours. Brooke was in a bit of a wimpy mood so we were not there as long as I had planned and I did not get as many photo's as I would have liked too but here are a few. It was a fun FREE thing to do!
Brooke is in LOVE with BIG TRUCKS! Especially trash trucks! Every single Tuesday we listen all day long for the trash trucks to come by so we can run outside and watch them do their thing. Brooke loves it and the trash men now know us and wave to us regularly. It's cute I think! So here she is in front of her beloved Trash Truck!
And for all of you that know me you will be very proud of these next few photos! Brooke has a love for playing with pots and pans, and a love for playing with water. This day I just let go and let her go to town with the two combined! She had a great time pouring the water from pot to pot. Of course most of it made it on the floor but who cares right? Memories are worth it, especially when you are no staying in your house anyway :) She had a great time even tho she looks very serious about her work!
